What does our Home look like?

Why was the House for Women established?

When meeting women experiencing homelessness, we encounter people in very different situations – but they have one thing in common: they have no place they can call a true home. And so the idea was born to open such a House – under the patronage of Saint Rita.

🏚 Women in shelters and vacant buildings

Living in shelters, abandoned buildings, or even tents. Without a chance of having their own roof over their heads.

Working, but without housing

Women working to support themselves who dream of renting an apartment – for many of them, this is still a distant or unrealistic plan.

Elderly women with low benefits

Retirees with insufficient benefits or none at all, who wish to spend the autumn of their lives in a safe, real home.

How does the House work

The Sanctuary of Saint Rita's Flower Garden is run jointly by The Foundation "Goodness Carries On" i Association Grain of Good. Each resident signs an agreement for the duration of their stay and the rules and regulations. The house is managed by the Manager - Dawid Turowski.

🏠

Women's community

The residents share a house: a kitchen, daily chores, communal meals. They build relationships in a safe environment where each person is seen and treated with dignity.

🚫

Abstinence and regulations

The condition for staying is complete sobriety and adherence to the regulations. The house is a space where every resident can be sure that the rules apply equally to everyone.

💼

Work or retirement

Women of working age take up employment confirmed by a contract. Senior citizens use their benefits. All participate in the costs of maintaining the Home.

The Spirituality of Saint Rita

Saint Rita — patroness of difficult and hopeless causes — patronizes our Home. For those who wish, we offer prayer and time together. This is an invitation, not an obligation.

🌷 Our House Development Plans

The house is working, but it is still under construction—not only in the physical sense, but also as a support program. We want Kwiatowy Zakątek to eventually offer residents much more than just a roof over their heads. Below is what we plan to implement as we secure funding from donors.

🧠

Psychological support

Therapeutic and advisory support to help overcome emotional adversity.

💼

Professional reintegration

Skills acquisition and better job market situation programs.

💰

Financial Management

Budgeting skills that help achieve independence in the long run.

🎨

Pursuing interests

Developing passions and actively participating in volunteering strengthens an abstinent attitude.

These plans will be put into action thanks to donors. Every donation brings the Flower Haven closer to offering women not only a safe home but a real path back to independent living.

Founders and Manager

The St. Rita's Flower Nook was established as a joint initiative of the "Dobro się Niesie" Foundation and the "Ziarno Dobra" Association. The daily operations of the Home are managed by a Manager.

And so the idea was born to open a Home where every woman experiencing homelessness could feel what a real Home is – regardless of age, financial or life situation. Under the care of Saint Rita, the patron saint of difficult causes.

Your contribution makes our plans a reality

The roof over their heads is already there. The house is furnished. But support from specialists, reintegration programs, and financial management training are still plans that we're making a reality thanks to donors. Thanks to you, another woman experiencing homelessness will receive not just a home, but a real path back to life.
