The Warmth of Human Hearts

Grzegorz would sit on winter nights near a church in the Tricity area. Robert „lived” under a blanket on the streets of Krakow for several years. Darek tried to warm himself on winter evenings in an abandoned van. Damian lived in a barrack without heating and hot water. Janusz remembers spending winter nights in an empty building...

These are the stories of the residents of St. Lazarus Homes and St. Rita's Flower Patch – homes for men and women experiencing homelessness.

Our charges have jobs, pay off their debts, participate in the cost of maintaining the Homes, learn good habits, and where possible, re-establish contact with their families. They know they are not alone. They know they have a HOME today.

Everyone was given a chance to change their lives. Today, 35 people are staying in our Houses, and another 15 spots are waiting for those who will be accommodated after completing therapy (some this year).

We fund our mission through donations and contributions from those in our care. These contributions are insufficient. That is why we are reaching out to you for help. We believe that we will be able to get through the winter of 2025/2026 and that there will be no shortage of #The Warmth of Human Hearts in the four Houses of Saint Lazarus and Saint Rita’s Flower Corner: these are Homes where people regain their dignity and joy of life.
