Foundation Patrons - Fundacja Dobro się Niesie

Patron of the foundation "Goodness Carries".

When we founded the "Dobro się Niesie" Foundation, the first Saint Lazarus House, established by our Foundation's President, Maciej Białka, already existed when he was still working at the Pro Publico Foundation. Since the houses for men overcoming homelessness and addiction were named after Saint Lazarus, Saint Lazarus naturally became the Patron of the "Dobro się Niesie" Foundation. But he is not the only one watching over the Foundation.

Saint Lazarus

The name of the House comes from the biblical Lazarus, who was resurrected by Jesus. This resurrection is a symbol of hope. Even though Lazarus had been in the grave for three days, it was not a problem for Jesus to bring him back to life. This event became a symbol of hope and healing for all who suffer from various illnesses. Lazarus is also the patron saint of those struggling with poverty and marginalization, serving as an example of rebirth and a new beginning.

The Houses of St. Lazarus are a place of „resurrection”: from the street to the Home,
From drunkenness to abstinence, from loneliness to society, and sometimes to family. The House of St. Lazarus is also a place to meet Jesus. Lazarus was a friend of Jesus and was a guest at His home. Therefore, in the Houses of St. Lazarus, we also strive to live in such a way that mutual love is visible to all.

Saint Joseph

Our mission began with working with men experiencing homelessness. Saint Joseph is the patron of men. He naturally fit into our mission.

Saint Joseph is an example of a mature and fulfilled man. God's plans were most important to Him. He teaches us how to listen and obey. He is an example of a good craftsman (worker), husband, and father. He had time for prayer, work, and family.

From Him we want to learn to seek God's will. Especially now, when our life stories are broken and full of pain. Saint Joseph can intercede for us, so that we may pray, work, and seek the will of the Lord God.

Saint Padre Pio

First and foremost, he is associated with stigmata and miracles through his intercession. Despite the immense pain he felt, he always saw people in need. One of the works he initiated is the HOUSE OF RELIEF.
IN SUFFERING. Through His intercession, we strive for the Houses of Saint Lazarus and the Floral Corner of Saint Rita to be HOMES OF RELIEF
IN SUFFERING.

At the same time, Father Pio takes care of our finances. We entrust all our works and their financing to him. We offer him all our Donors, asking him to intercede for them to obtain the graces they need.

Padre Pio announced that he would make more noise after death than during his life.,
and because he is the Patron of Confessors, we entrust to him all those in need of the sacrament of holy confession.

Saint Rita

Rita is called the Patron Saint of difficult causes. She experienced much suffering.
and adversities in various states of life, and was able to overcome all obstacles in a spirit of humility and love.

That is why "The Flowery Corner of Saint Rita," a home for women in crisis, bears her name. We know Saint Rita will support our residents every day.

She is a special Patroness who exemplifies persistent pursuit of goals despite adversity, in accordance with God's commandments. Our charges – Women – need such a Patroness, so that by drawing grace through her intercession, they may not only achieve their desired goals but also never give up on the path to Heaven.
