I want to hear him say „daddy” again”

We met on the street. He was cold. For the last 3 months, he had been sleeping in the wreckage of a bus. He was trying to stop drinking. He managed to stay sober for half a year. But then he relapsed.
– I need help. I don't want to drink anymore. I want to fight for my son. I want to hear him say „daddy” again…

I couldn't leave Darek without help. We housed him at St. Lazarus' House. He received toiletries, a change of clothes, and shoes. We sat over coffee and wrote down an agreement.

Darek will soon begin therapy in the addiction treatment unit. His admission date is in 2-3 weeks. Afterwards, he will return to our House and begin working. Until then, he will be living at St. Lazarus House and working for its benefit. He has daily assigned tasks to complete.

Update from 04/06/2024:

Darek is moving out of the House of Saint Lazarus. He is becoming independent. He will be renting a room near Poznan. He has reconnected with his son. His son even visited his dad at the House of Saint Lazarus, and they spent a few days together. They are building their relationship from the beginning.

This is a huge joy!!!! Good luck, Darek!!!
