FROM THE STREET TO HOME

We accompany people experiencing homelessness on their journey.

I support

Who are we helping?

For people who have lost everything—their homes, jobs, families, hope. They often struggle with addiction, but above all— They want to change it. We don't just provide shelter. We help people rebuild their dignity, self-confidence, and trust in others, and sometimes — reconcile with loved ones and with God.
Because exiting homelessness is possible.
But no one should do this alone.

Homelessness in Poland

Homelessness is not a choice. It's event plot, which those affected by them had no control over—job loss, illness, domestic violence, addiction, the death of a loved one.

  • Okay. 30 000 people in a homeless crisis in Poland
  • Approximately 75% struggles with alcohol or substance addiction
  • Average duration of crisis measured in latches, not months
  • Most have nowhere to return — nor the strength to start over alone
2

You have influence over it

Your donation is the start of someone's new journey.

When you donate to the Foundation It carries well, you are not buying the product. You are supporting the process, which guides a person from the moment they arrive at one of our Homes until the day they return to independent living.

Every one of our female and male wards started this journey with a decision like yours.
Without you, there would be no home, no work, and no prospect of a better future.

What will your help be used for?

Every zloty goes where it's needed most

Maintenance of Homes for People Experiencing Homelessness

Subsidies for rent and utilities for four St. Lazarus Houses (homes for men in homelessness crisis) and for St. Rita's Flower Corner (home for women in crisis).

Support in addiction treatment therapy, psychological and psychiatric support

We would like to have adequate financial resources to help our patients, who are staying at the addiction treatment unit (8 weeks), with their most essential needs. We would also like to have funds for emergency psychological and psychiatric support.

Interventions and streetworking on the streets of Poznan and Lubon

We support individuals staying in non-residential places such as: vacant buildings, tents, basements, stairwells, etc., to show them that we are ready to help when they decide to overcome their crisis. Street outreach costs include travel to specific locations where homeless individuals are staying and the cost of purchasing essential items that these individuals currently need (clothing, blankets, hygiene products, coffee, etc.).

Food purchase

Our charges must receive full nutritional support for the first two months (until their first salary). At the same time, they can benefit from food we receive as part of the "Caritas Larder" project.

Buying medication

After completing treatment at the addiction treatment unit (OLU), each client receives a list of medications to continue taking upon discharge. It is not always possible to obtain a benefit from the Social Welfare Center (OPS) for this purpose. In these situations, we must finance this purchase.

Transparency

The foundation employs qualified employees and specialists with experience. A professional approach to clients ensures effective assistance. Thanks to good management and transparent accounting, we are trustworthy for everyone.

Marcin's 40th Birthday!

This year I'm turning 40 – a special anniversary that I want to celebrate in a special way. Instead of flowers and gifts, I'm asking my guests for what truly matters: support for people in homelessness crisis staying at St. Lazarus' Houses and St. Rita's Flower Haven. As a birthday present, please support the Dobro się Niesie Foundation!
